Don Was is one of the most popular and richest Actor who was born on September 13, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, United States. Don Edward Fagenson (born September 13th 1952) also commonly referred to in the media as Don Was, is an American musician, producer of records as well as record producer. Primarily a bass player Was co-founded the band funk-rock Was (Not Was). Later on, he recorded music and albums for a variety of famous recording artists. He was president of Blue Note Records in 2012. was elected president of the jazz music company Blue Note Records.
Was also the producer of the album of the B-52’s in 1989 Cosmic Thing, which included their hit song “Love Shack”.
In 1995, he directed and produced a documentary, I Just Wasn’t Made for These Times, about former Beach Boy Brian Wilson. The film debuted at the Sundance Film Festival and won the San Francisco Film Festival’s Golden Gate Award. He also received the British Academy Award (BAFTA) for Best Original Score in recognition of his compositions for the film Backbeat.
Since 2008, Was has hosted the proceedings (and led the house band) at the Detroit All-Star Revue, an annual showcase of local acts from the Detroit music scene.
