James Nagel Obituary, Death – James F. Nagel, age 60, of Lewis Center, Ohio, succumbed to cancer on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
Dedicated in perpetual memory to Jim (alternatively known as “Boo-Boo”), a shrewd, diligent, and devoted individual whose allegiances were boundless. He was a universal source of amusement and hilarity. With a lively chuckle that warmed the heart, he possessed a singular and exceptional personality. Unwavering in his devotion to family and friends, he possessed an extraordinary capacity to elicit smiling expressions from those in his vicinity. During his undergraduate years, he was not only an accomplished golfer but also an All-American baseball pitcher.

As we honor his indelible impact on our lives and commemorate a life well-lived, Jim’s memory shall perpetually remain cherished. As an adherent of Christ and person of faith, he will perpetually motivate and elevate all who were impacted by his existence. He patronized St. Paul the Apostle Church, contributed to numerous missionary endeavors, and served as a volunteer for Life Line of Ohio. Jim was a dedicated employee of ODW Logistics, Inc. and a devoted member of the ODW family. He is survived by Jane, his devoted wife of thirty-three years. Their six children remembered him as a devoted and affectionate paternal figure: Jackie, Ben (Arturo), Daniel, AJ (Molly), Evi, and AJ (Molly).

His paternal role exemplified his profound affection and dedication to family, bequeathing his children a legacy of love and principles that shall perpetually counsel and motivate them. Born to Donna and Frederick (also known as “Yogi”) Nagel, Jim was a beloved progeny. He also possessed a profound emotional connection with his sister, Chris Scero (Rick). Jim’s life was sustained by a solid foundation of affection and assistance from the extended family and close-knit Nagel family.

Grayson and Lucy, two devoted grandchildren, also survive Jim. He cherished each moment spent in the company of these youthful individuals, who brought him infinite pleasure and happiness. At Hill Funeral Home, visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, November 13, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Westerville on Tuesday, November 14 at 10:30 a.m. Following this, interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Lewis Center. Please attend a lunch reception hosted by the family at the Jessing Center, located at 7625 N High St, Columbus, OH 43235.
